My Journey to Financial Freedom and Success In Life

So, about 2 weeks have passed.... how am I progressing???

Well......

Let me address a few things first and get the perception/perspective right.

a) One of my ex-colleague (now a friend - if he considers me one (you know who you are)expressed disappointment that I did not mention him in my earlier post. Well, to put things in perspective, he was in part my motivator as well. This was what happened. Remember I mentioned about the 2 books? Well, he was the one who introduced me the 2nd book ie. Secrets of Self Made Millionaire Investor (So, happy now?) Actually, if you want me to acknowledge everyone, I should also acknowledge my good and bad bosses too!!! Ha Ha Ha

b) Secondly, since I was so motivated and I wanted to share my journey with people who may wish to learn like I do, I started to introduce myself and my blog to people in the local forums. Guess what? People out there think that I am trying to rip them off by making money from them eg. getting them to pay me to guide them, promoting my gurus programme etc. Well, can't there be kind souls out there and not think everyone is a "crook"? Or are you jealous??? To those people who harness these thoughts, then don't read the posts in my blog. I just want to sincerely share my experience/journey. You know what? I am actually taking a very big risk because I don't know how my this journey will progress. Because I know I will succeed, that is why I don't mind sharing. Tell me, can you find another blog that share with you like this? Most just tell you what happened after they become successful.

Enough said, for those who still think I am sincere, here is an update of my journey.

I purposely post it today being 1st day of the month (oh yah, April fool day today). Subsequently, you can expect at least an update on the 1st day of each month or even one in the middle of each month depends on whether any exciting things happened during the month.

............

Let me continue from my 1st post and share with you MY GOALS. You see, the programme I attended includes follow up to ensure we track our goals and not forget it. So, we have a team comprising of 8 members that meet once a month and in the session, we declare our goals and where we are (you can trust my team members are reading this too so I cannot lie). We share what we have achieved and what we have not and why. I have 3 specific ones. They are:

1) To create a blog by Apr 08.
Progress: When I did my first post on 15 Mar 08, it was already considered completed - ahead of schedule.

2) To start Equities trading in the US stock market by Mar 08. Of course, goal is to ensure I consistently make profit. I am targetting +25%
Progress: I started on 13 Mar 08 and here are my results as at 31 Mar 08:

Open Positions:
Long Term Value Investment : -6%
Momentum Investment : -2%

Closed Positions:
Value Investment : Nil
Momentum Investment : +46%

My Profit/Loss (includes open and closed positions)is +40%.

3) To develop a process methodology by Mar 09.
Progress: I am still working on it and will share when the time is ripe.

Hmmmmmmm.

Well, you may have in mind now, so what?

How do I assess my progress???
Let me share with you my thoughts goal by goal.

Goal #1) I think I have done well. 95 hits within 2 weeks. Not bad. I am working on more hits and useful links for readers like you. So if you can, help me get your friends, relatives, colleagues etc etc etc to visit my blog and of course, explore all the links.
Goal #2) I am over the moon. I beat my benchmark of +25%. Honestly, I am getting worried as this will make me more greedy but you know what? I went back to the basics my gurus taught me eg. if you cannot find a good stock, don't buy. Hold on to your cash. Only invest when you are very sure. This is the power of discipline. So, you must be very discipline.
Goal #3) I am on track (that is all I am prepared to share for now for this goal) Hope you can be patient and I have my reasons for not sharing with you now, believe me.

Watch out for subsequent posts. Meanwhile, if you have any queries, please feel free to comment or drop me an email.

Paying tribute time. Again, I must thank Adam and Conrad. I am already seeing results after attending your programme. I intend to attend your specialise tutorials next.

Well, if you are ready to make changes to your life (like me), you can start by visiting these websites:
(Warning : Only start to click on these websites if you are ready to commit ie. "I must change my life" and not "I think I want to give it a try". This is because you need to be very committed)

Nice catching up with you and Anthony today and thanks for the coffee! Look forward to our next meeting!

Till then, huat huat!

Let us PM and arrange another session soon. Perhaps monthly? Meanwhile, let us "huat together" There are plenty of menoey around for all of us. US market indeed rallied earlier part of Thursday. Let us hope the momentum will continue till Friday. Then we can have a good weekend.

Look at the Jade Tech issue. That is why investors who do their homework normally avoid investing heavily before such major market movement. The saying is so right, high risk, high return. So for those "koo koo" who followed blindly, serve you right. That is all I can say.
